Video conferencing allows two-way vision and voice communication to happen in real time. The facilities at the Dowerin Telecentre include a Polycom 128kb video conferencing unit, an ELMO document camera and a VCR.

The system can also be used to connect to the Internet via our network.

Video Conferencing

For all types of meetings from casual to formal. The Telecentre Meeting room is available all hours (with bookings). Priced from $66.00 per day. Includes kitchen, toilet facilities. Projectors, whiteboards, screens etc available for hire also. Catering can be arranged.

Meeting Room Hire.

The Dowerin Telecentre produces the local paper “Dowerin Despatch” weekly.  The deadline for articles is 4.00 pm Monday for hardcopy and 12.30pm Tuesday for Emails.  The paper is on Sale Thursday mornings from the local Dowerin News agency.

Located in the Telecentre is the Dowerin Public Library.  This free community service allows local residents to borrow Fiction and Non-Fiction books, videos and DVDs.

Staff are accredited CSR 1 Westpac Tellers.  They will be happy to assist you with all your Westpac Bank needs.

All your local travel information. Local points of interest, maps, brochures and souvenirs. Call in for local knowledge on the local area. Tin Dog Territory.  Look out for “Rusty” the tin dog as you enter town from the West.

Dowerin Visitor Centre

Many courses are offered through the Telecentre and/or in via TAFE. Small Introductory courses are offered by the Telecentre at a fee for service course.  First and Second Clicks Free courses are offered.  Call for Dates and Times.
